Psoriasis And Scales On Scalp
My daughter has psoriasis on her scalp. She has developed some large spots with heavy scaling. We've tried coconut oil, shea butter, tar shampoo and sal. acid shampoo... none of which seems to be helping. Does anybody have a regimen they use that helps with the scales?
I have had psoriasis in my scalp since I was a child discovered Diprosalic lotion about 20 years ago Ask your doctor for a script. Tried many things over past 30 years this has been the most effective. Non oily-gel formula, soothes and clears. Diprosalic lotion 30ml by MSD
I was covered in it from head to toe,I found something on eBay called Winsoria Oil I used it for a month and noticed my psoriasis was clearing up so I brought another bottle and to my delight it all cleared up for years but now I'm having a huge break out so sore its time I tried it again. I also found a company in Melbourne that has it to but can't remember the name ,as its from India but worth a try.
I gently scrub my scalp with my nails when I wash my hair to loosen the patches up. 2 times a week I add 3 drops of tea tree oil to the shampoo in my hand and gently scrub that in and wash out as normal - don't get it in your eyes or mouth though!! lol It seems to help with the scales.
Speak to your doctor, I tried all of the above also and only found relief when my doctor prescribed me with dovobet gel. It really is fantastic!! My scalp psoriasis was awful and improved within 3 days of use! Hope that helps :) x
Thanks guys... it got so bad I took her to see a pediatric dermatologist for something. We were prescribed fluocinonide topical solution. I have to say a small 60ml bottle was incredibly expensive, but it has done the trick. Almost all her plaques on her head are gone!
