Nails And Psoriasis
Does anyone have psoriasis on the back of their hands and if so does it affect your nails as mine are terrible and I have to wear false ones.
Yes do you feel the ridges in your nails. I had to wear fake nails for years because my nail would break and flke off . then they got better .I think a lot of it has to do with meds.
Hi. I have psoriasis on my hands but not my nails however I am also a beautician. Best advice I can give is to stop wearing false nails. Can't stress enough how much damage they'll be doing to already damaged and weak nails. Shop around and find a ridge filler Base coat nail polish and and just paint your nails rather than using fakes. I can almost guarantee that after a while the nails condition will improve!! Hope this helps :)
Also make sure any lotions or soaps don't have perfume or fragrance in them because it will burn and make your psoriasis worse .
I used white cotton gloves and cut the fingers out of them because when I drive the sun burns my hands.
my nails got ridges and turned yellow brownish and my knuckles began getting sore. I used tea tree oil and they cleared the soreness left to I put the oil on and under my nails smells bad but worked for me
Finger Nails
One Dermatologist Told Me That I Have Nail Psoriasis And Put Me On A Cream Of Clobetasol And Vit. D. No Improvement.
