Is Light Therapy Beneficial?
I was told that tanning beds are good for those with psoriasis. I just joined a gym that has tanning and red light therapy. Can anyone tell me? Being very fair skinned I don’t tan, but I don’t have insurance and am willing to try anything that might help.
If you are on Medicare and there is no UVB light therapy near you, your dermatologist can prescribe a home unit through Medicare. For real! I found out that Medicare will supply one medicinal machine every five years. Talk to your dermatologist. My unit is from Daavlin.
You want to be careful but I would try tanning. I would only do a couple of minutes since you are fair skinned. Good luck
Hello, I was diagnosed when I was a kid. Tanning beds I started to use since I was teenager, it worked very well for me, I went couple times in every 4 to 6 years. Now I’m 43 , unfortunately it doesn’t work anymore. I started Taclonex and kenalog, I really hate this medicine. Doctors said not to go tanning but the treatments have very bad side effects too.
I'm going to do the same thing no insurance it has worked for me in the past so I'm going try again can't get meds anymore so gotta do something
The UVB light treatment is very helpful
