Itching Relief?

A MyPsoriasisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Glasgow, UK

Okay so I’ve found my psoriasis on my legs is getting worse but it’s mega itchy. I itch until it bleeds and I feel like the more I break the skin the more patches appear.
I’ve had most things from the doctors to try and elevate the symptoms. But I just find nothing works.
May I also add, the itch is not isolated to my legs, I itch my arms until they bleed and my scalp until it bleeds, my ears so on and so on. I itch until I bleed basically!

Has any one got any suggestions?

Coconut oil ( organic) works well for the itching; instant relief for me 🙂

Have you ever tried taking Loratadine? It's the generic form of Claritin. When I have my flare ups, my dermo always tells me, take three of those a day and it certainly doesn't stop the itch, but I definitely doesn't itch as much.

T gel for the scalp helped me by Neutrogena all supermarkets have it. Aqueous cream is an alternative to E45's its cheap and effective keeps the skin moist.

I use hydroxyzine HCL 25mg. This can be perscribed by your general doctor or a Dermatologist. Mine is 1 pill up to 2 times daily. Fair warning: This will/might make you sleepy at first for a while but if you are like me then your body gets used to it & it doesn't make me sleepy anymore, it just relieves the itching! I hope this helps someone! May God Bless everyone & hopefully in time there will be a cure someday!
