Has Anyone Able To Get Biological Meds Thru Medicare Part D The Cost Out Pocket For Me They Want 3000.00 A Month
Not from the part D but each Biologic has a site that can help with your copay or pay for the medication completely. Some are harder to get than others but I have Medicare and part D and have been able to get Enbrel, Humira, Cosentyx and now Cimza at no cost. Ask your Rheumatologist and go on line to National Psoriasis Foundation as they have much info and people who can help you. You can also google the Biologics by name and find out where to go for assistance....
Good Luck.
You are able to get biological meds with G,I will look into that .Thanks
They wanted $5,000 a month from me on Medicare part D. They said but you would be in the donut whole soon. Yes I would but the cost would still be something like $1,500 per month (I can't remember the exact donut hole amount that we figured but this is close). They say we make too much money for assistance but I can tell you, we don't make enough money to pay these prices along with all my other medications. I am so frustrated.
That is really sad! These meds are so expensive that nobody can afford to pay for them. I see them making it more difficult to get assistance every year and some of the foundations say they are out of funds because so many people are having to take Biologics now... I would keep trying and if you haven’t talked to National Psoriasis Foundation, give it a whirl.
I won’t share my opinion on where we are with healthcare in this country at this time. LOL ( wouldn’t help anyway...)
Good Luck and God Bless...
Thanks ,for some reason they keep declining my request said i have a above there income which I can't afford to pay 3000.00 a month it would wipe me out as far as other bills.I have requested help from manufactures also they say that I don't qualified to get help I think the help stops after (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators) a year .You have to figuire if I pay 3000.00 amonth that's (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators) a year out of pocket so right now I use Enstilar out of pocket 504.00 a month not as good as Biologic Meds
