Hi everyone
I have had psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis since I was a teen. I have been on so many meds..none last long. They seem to work and then my body attacks them so they are unable to work
Enbrel- didn't do much
Humira- worked like a charm totally clear for almost a year. Then I had a reaction my whole body turned red and swelled up it took the doctors months to clear that mess up
Remicade- is made from rat pee...not a joke...it made my arms and legs feel like pins and needles...it… read more

I have had psoriasis for 36 years. Used only topicals, such as Devonex, etc. then tried Otezla because I was leery of biological with a possible side effect of lymphoma and other cancers. It worked for 1 1/2 years, then it came back worse than ever before. My doctor put me on Ilumya injections which does not have cancer as a SE. I have had my 2nd injection and I am 90% clear. I had 2 a month apart and now every 3 months. I pray it will continue to work. It is worth a try!!

I know that with biological you have to be in them at least a year to see results. I’m just over a year with Cimzia and it has worked wonders. Although I just have light psoriasis. I’m that rare person that only has a few small spots. But the arthritis is another level. SulfaSalazine was very rough for me. I am allergic to sulfa drugs I guess, so it doubled my symptoms, but after switching to Cimzia around 1 year, I felt better. I was also off this past summer and made sure to reduce my stress. Stress and being over-active instead of moderate physical activity, triggers things for me more than anything.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will see about giving it a try.

Betty, I can’t take those meds either. I took Humira and methotrexate and got a terrible infection. Lost my artificial knee because of it. No more for me. Has anyone tried the medical marijuana? I’m going to ask my doc for it. I just can’t take the other meds.

I feel your pain. I stopped taking my meds because I wasn't feeling any better.
