Does Anyone Else Get Flu Like Symptoms Before A Flare Up

A MyPsoriasisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Pittsburgh, PA

I’ve been feeling quite run down and exhausted, only on days I work though. Feel like I have a fever but I don’t. I’ve noticed new patches of psoriasis starting to form but haven’t quite fully formed and lots of foot and hand pain. Waiting for an appointment with a rheumatologist in September and just looking for some kind of relief until then.

Sorry Lista- have had high pressure jobs in past and this body doesn't tolerate well. Do your job and focus on life outside. Take micro breaks through day as time permits and pray, meditate, go to your happy place...Talk to your PCP about meds if anxiety are an issue. They use to label anxiety as depression but are now differentiating a bit better and have some meds that focus on anxiety better without snowing you.

Fatigue is a huge part of this. Try to rest when you can.

Matches with increased stress at work. In that case everything you're describing is normal.

I don’t get the flu type symptoms, but fatigue is quite common. Rest is essential for ALL of us as well as trying to keep our stress levels down. Be sure to make ME time. Time just for you to read, listen to music, or do whatever gives you peace. Also read and research information on this disease so that you can learn as much as possible to help yourself. To learn what triggers your psoriasis, what helps, and so on. The more you know, the more you and your doctor can work together. Praying you find relief 🙏🙏🙏
