Topical Steroids Causing Steroid Induced Acne

Advice urgently needed please. I’ve recently finished a long course of potent steroids for treatment of psoriasis on my scalp and all over my body, along with PUVA this worked amazing and my skin cleared up. However, I am now left with what I think is steroid induced acne over my shoulders, back, chest, arms and some of my lower body. acne can be your body reacting to the treatment. your immune system sees it as a threat and a toxin. your skin is one of the body's biggest detox organs. a sauna will help sweat it out. drink lots of clean filtered water to flush your skin and reduce toxic intake.

I have only experienced steroid induced acne on my face - which I'm still trying to treat. For your body, I would start with a salicylic acid body wash to at least unclog the pores and a noncomedogenic moisturizer such as jojoba oil (rather than coconut or something thicker that will clog pores). Good luck!!
