I’m On Medicare
I’m on Medicare. I have had psoriasis since I was about 8 years old and I’m now 55. My new doctor put me on Stellara about 4 months ago. They found an infusion center that would let me go in there to get my shots. It’s been working great on the skin and the arthritis as well. However they have recently told me that Medicare won’t cover it any longer and I cannot afford the outrageous out of pocket costs. I can’t use their little discount cards they offer for meds BECAUSE I’m on a government… read more
Yes BeckyWallaceHigginbotham it can work for those on limited income, but some companies do not allow Medicare patients to apply. No matter the income level. Which is a shame. We are the ones who need help too! I was lucky enough that the drug company allowed an application. But some don't.
Still worth a look into it, for those who need the medication.
If you are on a limited income you can write the company a letter and they may let you get it for free. That’s what we did for my husband. We are both retired.
Politically I don't know where that national psoriasis association stands that getting awful tired with the way thepharmaceutical company are running their businesses. Democrats and Republicans are both paid equally to stand down and stay out of the involvement of the pharmaceutical companies. The ideology he's not consistent he's the values of this country when those values were set forth I always thought that the United States of America meant United I always thought we wanted peace throughout the world and that was our mission and that was our goal to take out and stop tyranny. Myself with all the provable evidence one could give to the Idaho State board of medicine in regards to the injuries from the shot to the spine that I got. I'm being attacked neurologically all over now bairy walk anymore I have a wheelchair and I mean I'm not going to talk about the pain everyday. They let the doctor and the hospital walk and under the bus I go probably do I get to pay for all this I'm not going to have money to help me whatever everything done about it or to control it. It's time for we the people to draw a line in the sand and put on this stop to this type of behavior if you want to rate the cost of medication rate it like you do the low income you make $100,000 a year you pay your percentage for that drug you don't make anything you don't pay anything how hard is that to do how come we can't just be fair. I don't know if y'all see what I see what I look up my front door now slowly but surely we're changing to the bad such a split division because of what Donald Trump in his mouth did he created a monster of hate tell me a matter of time in my opinion she's my opinion though put your foot down and draw a line
I could have gone all day long without hearing what you just said because this next week I go from Medicaid to Medicare and that sounds like I'm going to have the exact same problem you are with the exception I did get a letter in the mail asking me if my condition was from an injury from someone else and I believe it is because of the story epidural injection that I had in my back caught up with my psoriasis that I was just attacking me so if you review all your don't stop fighting where there's a will there's a way.
Same here with enbrel. Can’t get co pay card Medicare made a deal with the drug co l called them that’s what the drug co told me. I feel we’re being punished for being elderly
