Yes for PsA. MD checks for increase of white cells in blood. Xrays will show swelling, too. A skin test will show you which type of Ps you have. The only Ps that I like is the- Ps, I love you, type. LOL

has your Dr checked your Vitamin D yet, @A MyPsoriasisTeam Member ? That really can help. The end of winter is coming son, this lack of light really gets to us all… another thing you can do is look up mindfulness or calm or meditate or uplifting on YouTube..
There are lots of apps too, even some free ones that can help..

I hate to say it but I did feel better when I was doing the red light twice a week. Since ending it 2 weeks agao I have been exhausted and with a cough now sore throat. I need to order my own. My sister and her husband got an expensive one using it everyday. She feels the difference.

RLT or IRLT is perfectly fine after surgery. In fact it’s something surgeons actually prescribe after surgeries to help wounds heal faster. PT uses this to heal sports injuries faster, too. It works by energizing your cells mitochondria which increases ATP. This boosts circulation, collagen, and very importantly, reduces inflammation. Here’s a link to the same info from the Cleveland Clinic.

Red light therapy has been tested for Psoriasis in studies with success, most involve other methods too, but the Glynis Ablon, MD study is specific to red light.

Has no ill effects as long as you protect your eyes from the bright light. 15 minutes every other day or even twice a week with a gap of one day in between is perfect, giving the body time to make use of each session without causing a plateau.

RED/Near Infrared LED light doesn’t get hot, you won’t get sticky. If you’re under a heat lamp, that’s a different kind of red light that I don’t mess with, all of what’s described here is purely LED.

I’ve written with you about this before, maybe you can bookmark this post or links. There are lots of scientific studies and lectures about LLLT or IRLT air RLT, all the same Therapy just different names: Low Level Light , InfraRed Light, Red Light. I think the last video I shared with you was was #68 from Stanford neuroscientist Andrew Huberman, but these below are more concise.

Here’s a link to the 43USD lamps I bought, they’re the correct wavelengths of red and near infrared and have helped me a lot. I bought this to use at home so no public visits necessary. Keep light at least 6-12 “ away from skin. The lamps linked here cover a larger area of the body, where hand held units would take forever. Others here use this kind of light therapy, like @A MyPsoriasisTeam Member, maybe she can assure you again too. Hope this clears things up.

You might ask your Derm about Calcipotriene for nails, no steroids involved, so no rebound, just pure vitamin D ointment. Treating nails cam take 3-6 months, sometime longer. Please get your Vitamin D levels checked?

Our red light therapy is like a tanning bed. Get naked, eyes covered😎 and stretch out. Close top over you. No rolling. My paperwork says that experts agree that this effects a wide variety of conditions-arthritis, nerve regeneration, musculoskeletal pain, anxiety and depression, tendinopathies, soft tissue healing, sleep disturbances, and nerve pain. All with no ill effects. Some have even said they lost weight. Photobiomodulation therapy has also shown to improve athletic performance. It also speeds in recovery by reducing the production of Lactic Acid, Creatine Kinase and C-Reactive Protein. I was told not to use it after surgery that it might heal at the wrong rates causing scar tissue. In other words this works on the cellular level increasing energy production, increasing circulation thus reducing inflammation and oxidative stress. Sound good? 🤔 We have 10 more sessions left. Dan is not into it. Although it is a chance to get me naked. I will take them all after the heat is gone. Too sticky.
