Does Anyone Cut Off Scalp Scales From Psoriasis?
I'm finding that the scales are hard, stick up and get caught on a comb. Every time I cut them off, hair is removed. Hair is thinning dramatically.
OGX for thicker hair. Purple bottle. Walmart less than 10 bux.
Castor oil massaged into scalp softens the plaque and is healing/moisturizing. Might want to doe that pre-shampoo and cover your head, let it soak in. Castor oil is very healing and a mild anti parasitic.
don't pull or cut off protruding psoriasis. I use gentle circular motions, using the back of my nails going up. I do not come down on crust with the sharp part of my nails. I used to punish my psoriasis trying to force it out - I lost a lot of my hair with scrub brushes make to remove build up - so I don't recommend those implements. Syalic (not spelled right) acids on your scalp covered for 1/2 hr should do a great job loosening. Castor oil covering your scalp for 1/2 also loosens them.
I use a good conditioner with biotin and it softens the plaque. Towel dry hair. Gently comb hair.
I cut my hair all off. It's the only way I can manage my scalp. I then take a soft comb and scrap it out. It's more difficult for women. You will lose some hair if it's not very short.
