Yes I have 2 sausage toes and 3 sausage fingers, I cannot straighten them anymore, they are crooked.

YEP. But, I have it all over. In the last few years it has moved into most of the joints in my feet and ankles. I even get sharp pains in my toes.

I have it all over. Spine, feet, toes, hands, wrist, fingers, etc. I was told by my RA and ortho doc they never seen anyone with it like me. Shoes are an issue for me. Right now, I have sketchers trail tennis shoes, air cloud ankle boots (only wear once in a while), and Birkenstocks. I no longer wear what looks good but hurt me.

Seeing some articles on people searching for comfortable shoes, hope this helps someone.
Been dealing with different types of arthritis & psoriasis for over 40 years. Back surgery
in 1999. Shoes always have been a problem for me as well from childhood orthopedic shoes etc. Investing in Rockport & SAS Sandals every spring took a financial toll as well & didn't help all the pain in walking.
In 2001
I invested into Z-coils shoes & slowly became hooked. Haven't warn anything else since. My collection over the years have served me well. I take care of them. Still have the originals and no replacement of coil or adjustments needed so far. Styles do run differently but Z-coils gives support & comfort for all my conditions. Just takes a little adjusting to but for myself it's totally worth the cost & the ability to walk without struggling & more freedom to be more active without any assistance and very little pain. If you're able to make the investments, it's worth a shot. Each shoe/boot styles do run different. Some more comfortable than others. So attempting to find your styles & fit can be a big investment in time, money & returns. But in the long run its totally worth it. I haven't gone shoe shopping since 2001. Invested in all the colors of the styles that were comfortable for me.
I prefer the open coil.
Sandals are my favorite. Boots are great too. I did invest into in a second pair of Sandals & sneakers. The originals are for rough outings & the new for more formal occasions. For me, I could either walk like an old granny needing assistance because of the pain & discomfort or wear the Z-coils to support my whole body. They give correct body alignment for better balance. I have little pain or can be pain free, and walk freely, Iike a teenager again.
Z-coils work for me. Hopefully if you're struggling to walk as pain free as possible, z-ciols may be the answer for you too. I was unsure with Z-coils in the beginning as well. It was an adjustment in many ways. But it turned out to be the best ever. If this brand is not for you, don't give up, keep searching until you can find comfortable shoes that are right for you.
Wish you all the best.

Yes. I have it all over my body. Both my feet and toes are affected. Makes it hard to find comfortable shoes.
