Painful Joints

Hi everyone I'm struggling with a swollen wrist nothing seems to help.
I'm not due my next injection of Skyrizi until the 8th of next month any ideas how to deal with the pain.
Also I've put on over a stone in weight anyone else had that problem.
And to top it off not had a hospital appointment for over a year and I'm meant to go every 6 months.
Got to love the NHs.
My skin is clear but in pain.

If you’re speaking about painful swollen tissue at your wrist and NOT a bone or rigid type feeling of pain- try Voltaren. It’s a cream sold over the counter. It shouldn’t interfere with your biologic med & doesn’t have the side effects oral steroids (prednisone) has. Another thing worth trying are the patches typically used for lower back pain. Just because they are marketed to “back pain”sufferers doesn’t mean the same pain cannot be present elsewhere in/on the body. There are hot, cold & ambient patches should you have a negative response to temperature, the ambient patch may help.

I put my hands/wrists in icy water.
Luckily, my cold water runs icy, even in summer.
Or a soft first aid pack to calm the swelling.
Cheerio

I don't know that I can discern between muscular vs joint pain in the wrist.
Mine have little muscle. Virtualy same size as when I was a kid.
I used Aspercream FOR YEARS. Wanted voltaren prescription....guess I'll have to by it over the counter/generic is available now.
