I had changed my diet but after the better part of a year I fell off over the holidays. Today I start back on an autoimmune diet. I started photo therapy a week ago. I do epsom salt and tea tree oil soaks. I’m starting a cognitive behavioral self paced course from Stanford University to help me think better and hopefully reduce stress and depression. I have used several creams , I can’t tell that any are better, but keeping my skin moist is good. I would appreciate hearing from those who have… read more

CeraVe products are my favorite too. Sometimes I use olive oil. I just made myself some salve the base is coconut oil , I add calendula flowers, plantain, oregano, lavender and aloe all fresh from garden . Steep together for two hours, then pour into small jelly jars , straining out the herbs as much as possible. I put it on my psoriasis several times a day. I’m changing my diet to a strict anti inflammatory for the next three months then will slowly add back in things and see what triggers my flare ups. I was flaring every day . In the past 3-4 days no flare ups and there are some signs of healing.

Sharon, I feel your pain. I struggled for several years with the psoriasis on my palms, and in the past few months, it appeared on the soles of my feet (and that, for me, is worse in that it is even more debilitating). I use a few of the products you mentioned, but have to steer clear of a lot of things like Vaseline, vitamin e, any of the oils that give others relief, turmeric, and the like. I can use epsom salt or Himalayan salt, or oatmeal, in the bath, which helps. I am able to use Cerave products but have to avoid almost all others. Sometimes, some things burn, but if the itch is intense, the burning is a relief.
