Was Wondering If Anyone Has Psoriasis All Over Their Body?

A MyPsoriasisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Sanford, NC

Cosentyx is beginning to not work anymore. It's so hard to get real help with it because between the doctors, the insurance company and the actual drug company to get meds that work. Changing meds is like an act of God and I'm so tired of seeing her suffer. I was wondering if anyone around the area that know where I can get her real help and the meds she needs. She also suffers from psoriatic arthritis which is almost debilitating to her. I'm at wits end, please help!

Welcome to the group. I can relate completely to the frustration of finding a med that works and being able to get help in order to afford it. It is an uphill battle for sure and sadly many of the Biologics lose their effectiveness after a time and you have to start over with something new. Thankfully there are some Biologics and JAK inhibitors that do help with both Plaque Psoriasis and PSA so once you find one that works and find a patient assistance program in order to get it…you can relax for a year or so. We all react completely differently to these meds so it is an individual journey….
All you can really do is find a Rheumatologist who is well versed in autoimmune disorders and treatments who can help you navigate through the system in order to get the medications you need. This is not always easy but don’t give up…keep pursuing and advocating….Look thru the articles here, make notes, jot down questions for your Doctor and try some natural treatments/ lifestyle changes while you are waiting…..
Having someone who understands what you are going through helps a lot!
