@A MyPsoriasisTeam Member. Try 4 sachets Aveeno Colloidal oatmeal and 3 cups unscented epsom salt in a lukewarm tub and soak for an hour. Cover your skin in pure coconut oil after bathing and showering. Blot dry, dont rub. Vitamin K2 supplements help with the easy bruising and bleeding. The Calm App helps with anxiety as does evening walks if you live somewhere safe to do that. Kindest regards. 😌🙏

My medication consists of ibuprofen and Tylenol taken together. For my skin, I use grape seed oil before applying CeraVe cream. Methotrexate and azulufadine didn’t do anything except give me terrible stomach issues. My psoriasis actually got worse with both. My insurance won’t cover biologics and the companies don’t give breaks to people on Medicare. I was born with anxiety! I can’t take anything for it because of other medical conditions and the medication for them. I’m on blood thinners so I’m limited until I can get off these. I just ruined another top and the sweatshirt I had on over it for yet another bloody rash. I’m frustrated and upset with the medical and pharmaceutical industries. I’m upset everyone thinks it’s fine to give diabetics their medicine for $35 a month and I can’t get any help at all. I’m not a selfish person and I agree with the price of insulin being lowered but I’m also suffering and would like some relief. We all need to start the pressure on the costs we are forced to endure every day on so many levels.
Thanks for your reply and your helpful suggestions.

To complicate things, the same inflammatory proteins, aka cytokines, that attack your skin and sometimes joints, often attack your gut and brain as well and can cause Generalized Anxiety, Major Depression, and even Alzheimer's. Makes sense, it's all trapped in your body. The trick to relief is being aware of your life daily exposures to recognize what triggers your body's internal alarm that sets the immune inflammatory protein molecules to produce in the first place. Once you identify that (food, environment, stress, all of the above, etc) then set to doing everything you possibly can to avoid the triggers. If they can't be avoided (stressful relationships) get professional help learning ways to manage it. I know, i know, it's a full time job and youre probably already overtaxed. A vicious cycle that's going nowhere though until its faced. Medication will only be like make up on the best of days, easily washed off in the rain, so to speak. 😌😳🙏

Dealing with psoriasis & psoriatic arthritis on a daily basis is very tiring and stressful.
Most people don’t see the struggle we face.
Flare ups are the worst. Not being able to walk far or do things anymore stinks.

Pain is exhausting and draining. It’s hard to maintain a positive attitude when you are experiencing the symptoms of PsA
