Yes, and it works while you're on it but it often has a rebound affect, which means when you stop, you can have a flare-up. That's what happened to me.

There is so much information that I was giving you, but I didn’t realize you could only answer up to 3000 letters. I invested in the book called the Keystone approach. It changed my life. You have to learn your triggers, nightshade vegetables, sugar, GMO‘s gluten tobacco. These are all triggers for anyone who suffers from psoriasis, eczema or dermatitis, etc. etc. prednisone is nothing more than a steroid. That is the generic name prednisone if you’re diabetic prednisone will bring your numbers high if you suffer from low blood pressure prednisone or any steroid can be very dangerous. It put me in a coma. When in be your own advocate Challenge your dermatologist tell them why are you prescribing me a steroid that’s gonna thin out my skin I know for me. I have been using turmeric soap. If you wanna know where I purchase it I will give you all the information and I’ve been using turmeric moisturizer and I’m not biological anymore. Do I get flareups , but guess what? I learned sugar flares me up and I’m. Hypoxemic. So I need sugar I get it naturally from fruit.

No prednisone is a steroid, that medication almost killed me. I was unresponsive. Keep in mind. I’m allergic to steroids!! If they are prescribing, you steroids for psoriasis, I would say talk to another dermatologist. Even the cream is horrible on your skin because it thins out your skin. Again, I am not a doctor. I have my masters and behavioral health in psychology. Have they tried any biologicals? How long have you had psoriasis? I’m going to read your bio now and see what type of psoriasis you do have but do you know that when you’re on prednisone, which is just the brand of steroid that they put you on there’s generic brands there’s all different type of brand of steroids. I’ll give you an example if you are diabetic and you are prescribed prednisone also known as steroids it will make your numbers skyrocket if you suffer from low blood pressure it will drop your blood pressure, so you have to cross reference all the medication that you’re on and they don’t interfere. If I get pneumonia, which I did, I had to be put on prednisone/steroids I had to be put into the hospital for three weeks because I had to be monitored and they had to give me medication to bring up my blood pressure. I could never be on steroids on monitored . I will keep you in my prayers. Please try the biologicals concentric sky Rizzi there’s so many different ones that your dermatologist can prescribe you keep in mind. You have to take a tuberculosis test or a chest x-ray. If you live Covid numbers are still high or even the flu these medications lower your immune system and don’t realize that psoriasis is an immune deficiency disorder. I have lupus I have PPPP psoriasis rheumatoid arthritis. CRPS these are all immune deficiencies. And I’m just naming a few so when in doubt talk to your doctor if you’re not happy with the answer, do you have to be your own advocate? You have to tell your doctor doctor. I am not comfortable, taking prednisone it is a steroid!!! my body will have withdrawals. I don’t wanna be on steroids for the rest of my life. I only wanna be on steroids if it’s for two days to calm down the and the redness but if there’s alternative medication, I rather take the alternative because I have not heard good things about steroids or prednisone or any type of steroid.. Good luck on your journey I would love to hear what your doctor says. A lot of dermatologist or any doctor. They don’t like to be challenged, but if you don’t speak up for yourself, no one else will. challenge them ask the questions that is what they are getting paid for. God bless you and I hope you get to feeling better soon. Remember, I am not a doctor. I’m not telling you not to take it, but I would never take it again.. I’m talking about my journey. Prednisone is not a good medication for psoriasis. It is only a Band-Aid as soon as you stop taking it your skin flares up again. Take a natural approach.

I used Prednisone at 60 mg downward (very high dosage) and had adrenal insufficiency. I tapered down faster than would have normally done - I did not tolerate it well at all! .
Now I don't use steroids at all of any kind... pill or injection
