It sounds like you're going through an incredibly tough time, and it's completely valid to feel overwhelmed. You're not alone—many people with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and psoriasis struggle to find the right treatment combination. Medications like Humira, Orencia, Cosentyx, and methotrexate can work for some, but not everyone responds the same way. Persistent pain, swelling, and flare-ups, like your scalp psoriasis returning, can be signs that your current treatment plan might need adjustment.

Consider reaching out to your rheumatologist to discuss your symptoms in detail. They may suggest trying a different biologic, adjusting your methotrexate dose, or exploring other options like JAK inhibitors or corticosteroid injections for temporary relief. Low-impact exercises, like swimming or cycling, might also help with pain and weight management, though it’s understandable that moving is hard right now.

You’re not crazy, and you’re definitely not alone. PsA can be relentless, but there are still options to explore. Keep advocating for yourself, and don’t hesitate to lean on support groups or loved ones. You deserve relief and care.
