I used to be a runner and am really struggling without it - I miss running so much! I do loads of other exercise (swimming, hiking, weights, biking, cross-trainer) but would love to get back to running, but I really don't want to do any long-term damage. Anyone been able to run safely?
Hi Kimberley, wow cool! That's so good to hear, thanks for responding. I was diagnosed four years ago and haven't run in that time, but I may start trying (very gently) with some walk-runs. And a triathlon sounds epic! Good luck.
IzzyD it is great to find fellow runner in this group! I enjoy all of the activities that you do! My rheumatologist says there are no limitations to my activities, as long as I can handle the pain. When I do 10k nowadays, some of that distance often involves fast walking. It just depends on how my body is feeling on any given day. I so want to do a spri t triathlon this summer, which I intend to try. Keep on moving!!!
