6. Achieving Remission:
- Aim for periods of remission where symptoms are absent by following a comprehensive treatment plan and avoiding triggers like stress, skin injury, and extreme weather.

My daily goal is to use the steroid and non-steroid liquids/creams as directed by my dermatologist. My psoriasis patches are small, but are located on my scalp and arms. I’m noticing some new areas now, so keeping track of time on steroid, discontinuing and then maintaining with the non-steroid is challenging.
For my scalp, which is where it all started, I have been using Wild Naturals shampoo and conditioner. My dermatologist recommended TSal and TSol shampoos, interchanging them each time I shampoo. I bought them and read the directions: Apply, lather and leave on a few minutes, rinse and repeat. That’s a long time in the shower! Oh, and don’t get it in your eyes… I’m not sure how I’m going to approach this.
I don’t take any medications. Just supplements. I will try everything natural that I can before I go on a pharmaceutical. I had chemotherapy 16 years ago for breast cancer, and I didn’t tolerate it well at all.
My body is very sensitive.
Anyway, I’m 70 and aside from the bout with cancer I don’t take pharmaceuticals.
My goal is to try to find out what caused my psoriasis, so I do a lot of reading. Many reliable sources talk about the gut biome. I know I have had issues in that department. The ingredients are good, organic. I thought, what can it hurt, so 3 days ago I started Hanna Sillitoe Biotics. 1 tablespoon daily before breakfast. I have already noticed feeling better in general. I bought her 2 books and started reading about diet. I’m gradually eliminating dairy (which I know I have been intolerant to). More vegetarian meals, less red meat. Starting there.

May you feel better. May you be healed.
