Has Any One Used Non Medical Sunbeds?
I have just finished having us light treatment the last couple of months and it worked very well but now I can start to feel my psoriasis coming back slowly in my palms and little bits on my body. My doctor told me to not use non medical sunbeds and only use the ones they provide but I was wondering if any one had used non medical sunbeds and if it helped! Thankyou
U can. Buy small UV lights for fairly cheap just in covienence to do parts of ur body.
Medical beds are better strictly uv light
But tanning beds do also work like said above
The tanning salon I go to has a red light therapy tanning bed (iRenew) which does not have any uv lights.
I go to the tanning salon a couple of times a week. Really helps clear up my skin.
I’ve benefitted greatly from the actual sun, where short band uvb didn’t do that for me. This has made me look around for answers and the most recent thing I’ve found is the Sperti lamps.. that’s the company that made the first UV phototherapy lights.. which now makes two lights their website says insurance will cover? I read reviews on their site, as well as on Amazon and today found a page of TrustPilot reviews too.
My MO with Amazon has always been to click on the stars next to a product and then look at the questions asked.. there’s usually a spot at the top of the questions where you can search by keyword. Here is where you should enter the word psoriasis. This is a fantastic way to see what others who use this word have to say. I didn’t find the word psoriasis in any of the Vitamin D lamp reviews, but did see it in the reviews for Fiji Tan. I also saw several reviews saying that calling the company resulted in many other answers, because I’m interested to know if it’s both UVA and UVB bulbs. Hoping this helps to know.
Vitamin D has also helped me a great deal, though it’s important to know that too much D is also a thing. D is fortified in many foods, increased by sun exposure and so too may supps on top of this is something to watch out for… testing D levels, taking K2 and Magnesium are also all important.
We hit the ocean as much as possible. When cold weather came, dad bucketed salt water for me to soak in and then used a UV light. I also used the chiropractor's bed. It was a Red light instead of UV. UV was better.
