@A MyPsoriasisTeam Member, it depends if you have straight Medicare or an advantage plan. I would call medicare or your insurance provider to see what is covered. If you are covered under Medicare alone, it may be more difficult to get coverage. You may be able to get help through your Dr. They can give you information on an application for the pharmaceutical companies, that can provide assistance with your medications

I hope this helps:).

Methotrexate, a cancer drug, hard on kidneys, reacts with LOTS of other meds, and should not be taken by women over 70.
The suggestion of this drug by my dermatologist is why I am switching doctors for him being stupid enough not to look at other existing medical conditions and meds taken for them.

Medicare Part B typically covers biologic drugs for treating moderate to severe psoriasis, as these are administered through an injection or IV infusion at a doctor’s office or clinic. Here are some key points:

- Medicare Part B: Covers biologic treatments administered in a medical setting.
- Medicare Part D: Covers most other prescription medications that are administered outside of a medical setting.

For those under 65 who do not qualify for Medicare, financial assistance from biologic manufacturers may be available. Additionally, secondary insurance plans, such as commercial plans, Veterans Affairs benefits, and employer-based plans, can help cover additional costs.

For more detailed information, you can consult Medicare.gov or specific drug and treatment websites.
