Hi All, Has Anybody’s Child Developed Psoriasis?
My daughter has it now- it came on after her last bout of tonsillitis (she suffers with it a lot). I feel helpless for her and I’m so sad for her! Are there any good treatments apart from the steroid creams? She’s only just turned eight. Also, is there a correlation between weight and psoriasis? Thank you.
Thankfully, NO for my daughter.
Yes, almost 1 in 3 cases of psoriasis begin during childhood. Psoriasis affects nearly 1 percent of children. If you have a family history of psoriasis, it's important to be aware of common signs and symptoms in children, such as thick, scaly patches on the face, scalp, ears, upper eyelids, fingernails, and toenails.
