It sounds like you might be experiencing symptoms related to psoriatic arthritis (PsA) in your fingers. Here are some key points from the knowledge base that might help:

- Dactylitis: This is a common symptom of PsA where fingers become swollen, red, and painful, often referred to as "sausage digits." Chronic inflammation from dactylitis can lead to changes that cause the finger joints to twist.
- Enthesitis: Inflammation where ligaments and tendons connect to bone can also lead to dactylitis and cause the surrounding tissues to become hard, reducing the range of motion.
- Psoriatic Arthritis Mutilans: This severe form of PsA can cause permanent damage, leading to bone deterioration and joint shortening, sometimes resulting in "telescoping fingers."

Suggestions:
- Early Diagnosis and Treatment: It's crucial to get an early diagnosis and proper treatment to prevent permanent changes. Consult your doctor or rheumatologist as soon as possible.
- Medications: Disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) can help control the progression of PsA. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and corticosteroids can address symptoms.
- Therapy: Physical or occupational therapy can help with daily tasks. An occupational therapist can teach you hand exercises to improve finger function.

Next Steps:
- Consult Your Doctor: Discuss your symptoms with your healthcare provider to determine the best treatment plan.
- Join Support Networks: Consider joining communities like MyPsoriasisTeam to connect with others who understand life with PsA.

Remember, early intervention is key to managing PsA effectively.

I was at my rheumatologist. He said that I have severe osteoarthritis. That's what is causing my fingers to cross over and be bony and deformed. There's no cure. I take celebrex for the pain.
