Anyone Have Nail Psoriasis?
1st time I have nail psoriasis. The nail has lifted from the nail bed which is causing moisture retention under my nails which is causing a fungus growth. I am investigating laser UVB treatment. What treatment and success have you had?
call me crazy, but I bought a very good nail grinder for my dogs' claws. My toenails were getting long and it was hard to reach them with clippers, so I used the dogs' grinder on my toenails. They are no longer thick and yellow, they look amazing! So I thought, might as well do my fingernails with it. It has made them really strong! It takes a few seconds on each nail and they seem to be reattaching themselves to the nail bed.
All my finger nails have psoriasis on them. I haven't been given anything for them. Yet. Thankfully they are just discolored and lumpy but not lifting. (Except for the finger I slammed in the door. It's pretty black and is lifting but a new nail is coming through). I try and keep them moist with the creams I use for my body. As well as keeping the nail short. I also use Biotine daily. Not sure if it helps or not but hopefully it helps with hair growth too. I think the Magnesium citrate with Biotine worked better. Especially for my nail strength.
Hi there. Sorry to hear about your nail when I was diagnosed with PSA one of my first symptoms was my thumbnail was disintegrating on my right hand. It has not come back.
Also exfoliate my nails. I’m thinking I’ll need to do regularly when completed. I use a manicurist e-drill. I think it’s used for gels and acrylics, but regular nail files are not nearly enough.
I had some success with Xtrac laser therapy.
