Anyone Ever Use UV Light To Treat Psoriatic ARTHRITIS, Specifically?

As always, looking for light.. I even found an article from Arthritis.org about this, but without much content to support the title. Joints are only mentioned at the very end.

I have done photo theraphy and it helps for a while, then had flares again due to a viral infection. So try to avoid getting stress also people that are sick with cold or flu, If you have flares try to expose yourself under the sun for a few minutes each day without sunblock so the sun heals your skin directly. Most of all stay healthy.
God Bless..

Sunlight tremendously helps. Natural Vit. D is the best for PsA sufferers. The bonus is it keeps any skin lesions at bay for me too.

UV I’ve only used for pso. Not PsA. Infrared, as you know, is extremely beneficial to both.

nah, Joanne6, Frozen Shoulder doesn’t have anything to do with your skin. I had it once long before any Pso diagnosis. I brought it up because the PT a for it involved dangling your arm as you were describing.. the medical term for it is Adhesive Capsulitis. The name sounds like a joke, but I can tell you it’s not. It was pretty painful.

“In frozen shoulder, the shoulder capsule thickens and becomes stiff and tight. Thick bands of tissue — called adhesions — develop. In many cases, there is less synovial fluid in the joint.
The hallmark signs of this condition are severe pain and being unable to move your shoulder -- either on your own or with the help of someone else. It develops in three stages: Freezing, Frozen and Thawing.”

I’ve heard it discussed as having a connection to Pso, but haven’t seen that written about anywhere recently. In the end, I got a printout from the PT guy and did the exercises at home. haven’t had a problem with it since.
