Yes, psoriasis on the hands can appear as red, peeling, painful, and itchy patches that might resemble rug burns. Here are some tips for managing it:

- Diagnosis: Have any skin symptoms evaluated by a licensed dermatologist to confirm psoriasis and rule out other conditions.
- Moisturizers: Use thick, hydrating creams or petroleum-based products like Vaseline to keep the skin moisturized and prevent cracking.
- Topical Treatments: Over-the-counter and prescription topical treatments can help manage symptoms.
- Hand-Washing: Wash with soap and water instead of alcohol-based sanitizers to avoid irritation, and moisturize after washing.
- Avoid Irritants: Be gentle with your hands and avoid cleaning products that can worsen symptoms.

Always consult with a healthcare provider for personalized treatment options.

My hands were full of psoriasis and I use an ointment name as Ultravate -mf. It was very effective for plaque psoriasis.

I take on a daily basis and no it does not help. The one thing that kinda helps is baby oil but can't keep putting on as I drive for a living. Thanks for the idea.
